Notice is hereby given, the Twiggs County, Georgia, Board of Commissioners, will receive sealed bids at the Twiggs County Courthouse, 425 Railroad Street / Jeffersonville, Georgia 31044, until 2:00 P.M., at the time legally prevailing in Twiggs County, Georgia, on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, for the TWIGGS COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT located at 26 North Main Street, Jeffersonville, Georgia. At the time and place noted above, the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. No bids or bid bonds by facsimile (fax) will be allowed.

A site visit of the Twiggs County Health Department, 26 North Main Street, Jeffersonville, Georgia, has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 9:00 A.M. The site visit is not mandatory but is recommended so contractors and subcontractors may examine the existing building and areas affected by the work of this project.

Attention is called to the provisions for equal employment opportunity and to the requirement that not less than Davis-Bacon minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the specifications must be paid on this project. This project is covered under the requirements of Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968. Section 3 Business Concerns are encouraged to apply.
Contract, if awarded, will be on lump sum basis. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after time has been called on date of bid opening. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check made payable to Twiggs County, Georgia, Board of Commissioners, in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid.
The Twiggs County, Georgia, Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities and to select the proposal that is in the best interest of Twiggs County.
