The City of College Park, GA is searching for a City Engineer to review engineering plans for private sector development in College Park as well as manage the design and construction of a variety of public infrastructure.   

The City of College Park is located in Metro Atlanta adjacent to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.  The City covers over 12 square miles with a population of 14,000 as of the 2020 census. The City's general fund budget in 2022 is $30M and all funds top out at over $131M.

The City Engineer is a Department Head position that reports to the City Manager.  The City Engineer works collaboratively with Public Works, Planning and Growth Management, Economic Development, Building and Inspections and City Utilities to help design, review, and inspect public and private development and infrastructure projects.

For private developments, the City Engineer is responsible for plan review, enforcing stormwater and erosion control ordinances and ensuring that the public infrastructure built by the private sector meets city standards when the city assumes ownership of the projects.

The City Engineer also works with consultants hired by the City to design and construct capital projects.
