Duties are routine in nature and are performed under the supervision of the Ceramics Instructor. Pull and pour molds. Clean and return all molds after pouring and place greenware on shelves. Operate, load and unload kilns. Assist with instructing ceramic classes for all participants. Assist with the collection of fees for ceramics and supplies used. Assist students with painting as needed. Prepare ceramic items to sale. Maintain up-to-date records of ceramic molds and student files. Assist with maintaining inventory and ordering supplies. Occasionally pick up participants and supplies and transport them to their destination. Perform general housekeeping duties daily to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure that the classroom is set-up and ready for instruction prior to each class. Perform related work as required. Duties are performed indoors in ceramic shop conditions including paint fumes and kilns. Requires long periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching, reaching and heavy lifting. Knowledge of ceramic techniques and skill in the use of ceramic tools and equipment a plus. Ability to communicate with the general public. One (1) year of high school required. Must possess valid Georgia driver’s license class “D” or higher.p >
