Listing Summary

The Coastal Regional Commission is seeking applications for a Regional Planner.  The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in urban, city, or regional planning, public administration, or closely related field and two years experience.  Master’s Degree may substitute for experience.

Requirements:  Knowledge of all facets of urban and regional planning. Proficiency in use of computers and office applications.  Knowledge of developing comprehensive plans, strategic land use strategies, planning policies which achieve sustainable economic, environmental and social outcomes. 

Skills:  the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, reason and work independently, read, interpret and apply laws, rules and regulations, work under pressure to meet deadlines, manage several projects simultaneously, and interact with local government officials, CRC departments and other agencies as a team player to coordinate projects. PC based software, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 

Salary:  DOE, with a competitive benefits package.
