Job Summary

The Administrative Clerk is responsible for providing secretarial and front counter support for the department.

Essential Job Functions

  • Answers telephone, transfers calls, and take messages for the department;
  • Completes requests by greeting customers, in person, or on the telephone;
  • Types correspondence and reports as requested;
  • Provides secretarial support 
  • Maintains community education and promotional materials;
  • Processes procurement statements and ensure department supply needs are met;
  • Processes utility payments;
  • Processes incoming and outgoing mail for the Department;
  • Establishes and maintains department filing system;
  • Maintain department schedule by keeping calendars for department personnel;
  • Arranging meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel;
  • Responsible for indexing and preserving City historical media;
  • Opens and closes the office on a daily basis;

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED;
  • Or equivalent training, education, and/or experience; and 
  • Valid State of Georgia Driver’s License.
