Heavy Equipment Mechanic  

The City of Americus is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Heavy Equipment Mechanic.  The beginning salary for this position is $31,118.00 annually ($14.96/ hour).

Responsibilities of this position are to inspect, diagnose and repair all vehicles, trucks, and equipment.
Requirements include High School Diploma or its recognized equivalent GED; supplemented by specialized courses/training equivalent to completion of one year of college in automotive technology or closely related field; requires one year experience in automotive maintenance and repair closely related experience; required qualifications may be any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Driver’s License. Proof of requirements must be provided at the time of applying.
