Listing Summary

The position will be responsible for managing the City's continuing comprehensive and long-range planning activities; facilitating regional coordination; the capital improvement programs, including applying for and managing grant dollars; and for ensuring compliance with the City's development regulations and zoning ordinance. Attends and makes presentations at various public meetings, including City Council, Planning Commission, appeal hearings, internal staffing, as well as external meetings. Prepares and submits the annual departmental budget request and monitors expenditures and revenues in accordance with the adopted budget. Supervises the Planning and Community Development staff and building services consultants. Work is performed independently under the general supervision of the City Manager.
