Heavy Equipment Operator – Public Works Department

The Pike County Board of Commissioners is currently accepting applications for a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator in the Public Works Department.

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and vehicles in support of road maintenance, infrastructure improvements, and other Public Works projects throughout Pike County. Equipment operated may include, but is not limited to: bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, graders, loaders, and dump trucks. Duties also include general labor and other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Class A CDL is preferred
  • Must have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Previous experience operating heavy equipment is strongly preferred

This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and benefits.
