About the Role
We’re on the lookout for a dynamic, tech-savvy Human Resources Specialist who’s ready to bring fresh energy, sharp attention to detail, and a passion for people to our team! You’ll take the lead on recruiting top talent and creating a welcoming onboarding experience for new team members. If you love solving problems, getting the details just right, and turning data into actionable solutions — we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do:

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

• Own the full recruitment cycle—from creative job postings to making the offer.
• Partner with managers to write compelling job descriptions and figure out the perfect pay grades.
• Design innovative outreach plans that attract diverse, high-quality candidates.
• Represent the City at job fairs, networking events, and more.
• Build our brand as a fun, inclusive, and exciting place to work!

Onboarding & Culture

• Make new hires feel welcome with engaging orientation and training.
• Lead stay and exit interviews to keep your finger on the pulse of employee culture.
• Help us continuously improve by sharing insights and fresh ideas.

Who You Are

• Creative problem-solver with a passion for people
• Strong communicator—able to explain complex stuff in a simple, friendly way
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Tech-savvy, with experience in HRIS (bonus points for ADP!)
• A team player who brings positivity and energy

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business admin, or a related field
• 3+ years of professional HR experience with a focus on recruitment and onboarding
• 3+ years hands-on HRIS experience
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.)
• ADP experience
• Local government experience
