- Evaluate and manage property and casualty insurance for all city-owned assets.
- Serve as the main liaison for claims, working closely with legal counsel, insurers, and departments to track and resolve incidents.
- Develop policies to reduce risk, control costs, and support compliance with state and federal laws.
- Analyze claims data to identify trends and guide strategic decisions on coverage and reserves.
What You Bring
- A deep understanding of self-funded and fully insured health care plans, property and casualty insurance, and workers' compensation.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret legal and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for claims tracking and trend analysis.
- A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills to train staff and build cross-functional relationships.
