DEPARTMENT: Parks & Recreation
ENTRY SALARY: $21.21 per hour, plus benefits
JOB SUMMARY: This position performs specialized duties in support of assigned recreation programs, events, and services. Develops, coordinates, and delivers recreation programs; assists in program set-up and break-down. Compiles program data and prepares related reports. Develops and implements game, program, and event calendars. Assists in the maintenance of athletic fields. Supervises and assists at games and tournaments; conflict resolution and crowd control. Coordinates registration. Maintains inventory of tools, equipment, uniforms, and supplies; issues and coordinates the return of same; makes purchases as needed. Collects and receipts fees and other payments; balances receipts. Administers First Aid and emergency procedures as needed. Performs janitorial duties as needed. Answers telephone/emails; provide information and assistance. Performs related duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years. Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
