The Coastal Regional Commission (CRC) is a coastal Georgia based organization serving ten counties and thirty-five cities with comprehensive planning and development services. Our Planning and Government Services Department is announcing a new job opening for a Planning Manager. The position will manage assigned staff and work closely with local governments on advanced, highly complex professional planning and government services activities. The Planning Manager will:
· Manage assigned staff and daily operations
· Develop and implement local comprehensive plans
· Develop and implement regional plans
· Work with federal and state partners to administer projects
· Provide staff support to local governments
· Liaison between CRC and external organizations
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Planning or related field
· Minimum six years of planning related experience; graduate degree may be substituted for experience
· Interdisciplinary Knowledge of urban and regional planning and Georgia planning law
· Proficient in interpreting federal and state regulations
· Proficient in the use of computers and Office 365 software
· Superior, demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail, solid organization skills, and self-motivated.
