Code Enforcement / Building Inspector
The City of Darien is currently accepting applications for a full-time Code Enforcement Officer. Applicants should have a strong knowledge of building, zoning, and related codes. Responsibilities include inspecting properties, investigating complaints, issuing citations, and working with property owners to resolve violations. All applicants must be able to pass a criminal background investigation and drug screen. All applicants must have a valid driver's license and high school diploma, GED, or its equivalent. Law Enforcement, first responder, code enforcement or a related field experience preferred but not required.
