Job Summary:
This position is responsible for planning, coordinating and marketing programs for the Senior Center.
Major Duties:
· Plans and creates monthly calendar of events and creates day-to-day activity programs; Such as crafts, bingo, arts, morning stretch, and ensuring client participation, etc.
· Coordinates entertainers and outside presenters with various local partners.
· Ensures room or space is reserved for the event and any promotional materials are developed and distributed in advance of the programs.
· Orders materials and supplies as needed; conducts inventory duties.
· Decorates for functions, sets up tables, chairs, and building access.
· Maintains documentation required by the state for all venues and programs.
· Plans and coordinates annual holiday events, fundraisers, community engagement, and local farmers market event.
· Collects daily client donations, prepares donations for weekly deposit, complies weekly and monthly tally sheet of client and outside donations.
· Plans and coordinates outings and group trips; creates trip manifest for client sign-up.
· Produces monthly calendar, flyers and newsletter using Canva and other tools for marketing purposes.
· Coordinates digital signage for county website distribution. Also market, post and promote event videos, pictures, and information to social websites, Twitter, FB, Instagram, etc.
· Performs other related duties as required for the efficient operations of the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Possession of an Associate’s degree in a related field.
· Three years of experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position.
· Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
· Or any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
The successful candidate must complete a Background/Reference Check and Pre-Employment Drug Screening prior to the start of employment.
