Position: Landfill Maintenance Worker (FT)
Department: Solid Waste
Starting Salary: $16.38/hour
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary:

This position performs manual labor in support of the maintenance of the county landfill. 

Major Duties:

·   Picks up paper.

·   Empties bag trailer.

·   Hauls recyclables, including cardboard, cans, and plastic.

·   Cuts grass and weeds.

·   Transports fuel.

·   Picks up county recycling.

·   Sweeps office and maintains a neat and tidy office environment.

·   Operates a farm tractor and a truck and trailer.

·   Operates lawn maintenance equipment.

·   Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

·      Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.

·      Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

 The successful candidate must pass a Background/Reference Check, Pre-Employment Drug Screening, and Hearing Test prior to the start of employment.
