Villa Rica Parkway Road Improvements


Summary

The City of Villa Rica will accept sealed bids from qualified contractors for furnishing all

labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the VILLA RICA PARKWAY  -

ROAD IMPROVEMENTS.   The work consists of furnishing and installing all materials,

labor, tools, equipment, and related services required for a complete project in accordance with

the Contract Documents.  The project begins at the south west side of the intersection of N.

Carroll Street and East Church Street and proceeds approximately 3,221 linear feet north west

to the intersection of Mirror Lake Connector and Cleghorn Street. This project includes but is

not limited to traffic control, erosion and sediment control, clearing and grading, roadway

installation, concrete curb and gutters and sidewalks, stormwater improvements, installation

of traffic medians with landscaping, coordination of as well as installation and modification of

utilities, traffic striping, traffic signal modifications, and signage within the project limits. This

work is per the Contract Documents for the City of Villa Rica’s VILLA RICA PARKWAY

- ROAD IMPROVEMENTS.

 

Bidders may only be placed on the Plan Holder List by attending the MANDATORY

PREBID CONFERENCE for this project and/or obtaining a complete PDF set of the Bidding

The Mandatory Prebid Conference for this project will be held on Monday, January 19th,

2026 at 10:00 AM at the Villa Rica City Hall; 571 W Bankhead Highway; Villa Rica, GA

30180 as well as online. The web address for this conference will be posted by the City in the

same locations as the Contract Documents.  Any questions pertaining to the Contract

Documents shall be in writing and are to be submitted to Falcon Design Consultants; Attention:

Austin Willis and Glenn Athearn via email at awillis@fdc-llc.com and gathearn@fdc-llc.com

by 12:00 PM Noon on Monday, January 26th, 2026.   

 

Sealed Bids will be received at the Villa Rica City Hall; 571 W Bankhead Highway; Villa

Rica, GA 30180 until 10:00 AM on Monday, February 9th, 2026, and then publicly opened

and read aloud.  Only bids presented from a bidder that is on the Plan Holder List will be accepted and opened. 

 

No bid may be modified, withdrawn, or canceled for a period of sixty (60) days after the time

designated for the receipt of Bids or until the Bidder is notified by the City whichever is sooner. 

The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities, technicalities,

and formalities. Award of the contract, if accepted, will be by Council action following review

of the bid documents within 60 days of receipt of the bids.

 

 Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than 5% of the total bid

amount.  The Bid Bond may be in the form of a bond issued by a surety acceptable to the City

or a cashier’s check made payable to the City of Villa Rica, Georgia.

 

The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, 

each in the sum of 100% of the total amount bid and provide insurance coverage as required

in the Contract Documents.
