This is a full-time position with benefits. This position is responsible for payroll, the personnel budget process and the administration of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This includes management of human resources software applications for County departments. This position trains and directs the County staff on the human resources modules and modifications needed to implement or improve human resources processes.
Major duties include but are not limited to:
1. Responsible for/oversees processing payroll.
2. Manages personnel budget
3. Tracks and maintains elected officials’ salaries
4. Works with HRIS vendors to ensure that departments and end users can take advantage of available and emerging technological advances with the HRIS system.
5. Works with the Enterprise System Administrator on technical issues.
6. Oversees and implements assigned projects.
7. Assists staff in running HR reports and developing report templates.
8. Facilitates Upgrades and fact checking on system installations.
9. Manages training through HRIS system as well as seeking out training opportunities on a variety of HR opportunities.
10. Maintains the County’s time and attendance module; Executime.
11. Partners with IT, Finance and vendors to ensure system integrations function accurately and securely.
12. Manages system upgrades, patches, enhancements and testing activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
13. Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field such as Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Public Administration or a course of study approved by the department.
• Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for three or more years.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel. An assessment test may be administered.
• Advanced proficiency with Tyler Technology applications, specifically Munis, is preferred.
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia.
Starting Salary - $58,451.69
