Downtown Development Authority Director
Salary: $72,000–$90,000\ Full?time

The City of Commerce is seeking a motivated, community?focused professional to lead downtown revitalization and the Main Street Program. This role supports business development, oversees events and marketing, manages grants and incentives, and builds partnerships to strengthen the downtown district.
Key Responsibilities\ • Lead downtown development strategies and initiatives\ • Support local businesses and attract new investment\ • Oversee events, marketing, beautification, and community engagement\ • Manage grants, budgets, reporting, and DDA Board coordination
Qualifications\ • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Master’s preferred with a focus in Public Administration, Business Administration, Historic Preservation, Marketing, Public relations, Planning, Nonprofit Administration, Economic Development, or Community Revitalization )\ • Strong communication and project?management skills\ • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings/weekends\ • Knowledge of downtown development or historic preservation preferred
