The City of Clarkston Police Department is seeking motivated, service-oriented, and community-focused individuals to join our team as Police Officers. This position is responsible for protecting life and property, enforcing Federal, State, and local laws, responding to emergency and non-emergency calls, and building positive relationships within the community.

Police Officers serve on the front lines of public safety and are expected to exercise professionalism, sound judgment, and integrity while working collaboratively to enhance the safety and quality of life for residents, businesses, and visitors throughout the City of Clarkston.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
  • Must possess a valid Georgia Driver’s License
  • Georgia P.O.S.T. Certification preferred
  • Must successfully complete all phases of the pre-employment process, including background investigation, medical examination, and drug screening

Salary & Benefits

Starting salary is $63,000 annually, plus a $3,000 signing bonus, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The City of Clarkston offers a competitive benefits package that includes medical coverage, retirement benefits, and paid leave.
