**City of Wrens, Georgia**
The City of Wrens is seeking qualified applicants for the position of **Chief of Police**. This is a **full-time leadership position** responsible for directing and managing all operations of the Wrens Police Department while ensuring public safety, community engagement, and professional law enforcement services.
### Position Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations of the Police Department
* Supervise and manage department personnel
* Enforce local, state, and federal laws
* Develop departmental policies and procedures
* Prepare and manage departmental budgets
* Maintain strong community relations
* Coordinate emergency response and public safety initiatives
* Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and standards
### Minimum Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
* Georgia POST certification required (or ability to obtain reciprocity)
* Prior supervisory and law enforcement management experience preferred
* Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
* Valid Georgia driver’s license required
* Must pass background investigation and drug screening
