City of Lake City Harper Drive Sidewalk Improvements

Invitation to Bid

Sealed bids will be recived by the City of Lake City, Georgia from propective contractors for the Lake City's Harper Drive Sidewalk Improvements. Work consists of furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment and services for erosion control,grading, demolition of sidewalk, installation of sidewalk, and other related improvements.

Copies of the plans and bid documents ($100 fee paid to the City of Lake City) can be picked up at Lake City-City Hall at 5455 Jonesboro Rd, Lake City, Georgia 30260. Plans and bid doucments will be available begining May 21, 2026. Questions must be emailed to Susan Cructchfield no later than 5:00 PM on June 12, 2026. a pre-bid meeting will not be heald for this project. All contractors are advised to visit the project site. Sealed Bids will be received at City Hall untill 2:00 Pm on June 24, 2026. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time. Only bids presented with certification from the bidder that the bid submitted is based upon the current and complete Contract Documents will be accepted.

No bid may be modified, withdrawn,or canceled for a period of sixty (60) days after the time designated for the receipt of bids or until the Bidder is notified by the City whichever is sooner. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to wave all irregularities,technicalities, and formalities.

Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five (5%) of the total bid amount. The Bid Bond may be in the form of a Bond issued by a surety acceptable to the City. The bid Bond shall be forfeited to the City of Lake City, Georgia as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to execute the contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within fifteen (15) days after being notified that the bidder had been awarded the Contract.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish a contract Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, in the sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of bid and provide insurance coverage as required in the Contract Documents.
