The purpose of the Code Enforcement Officer classification within the Building Risk and Code Enforcement department is to enforce codes, ordinances, and related regulatory requirements for the public and business entities within the city.

Education: Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent supplemented by specialized courses/training equivalent to completion of one year of college municipal code, law enforcement or closely related field.
Experience: Requires one year of experience in municipal ordinance, law enforcement or closely related experience.
Required Certifications and Licenses Valid in the State of Georgia.
